WATER RECYCLING HERB GARDEN

As you can imagine water can be scarce in South Texas in the middle of the summer.  On our farm we try to conserve and recycle every drop if and when possible.   In an effort to clean up our water we installed a carbon filter which back flushes every 2 weeks.  Rather than flush that right into our septic system we recycled it!
Cooking is not only a necessity for us but a hobby and we love our herbs.  Herbs are quite difficult to grow in our climate without a steady supply of water.
What a perfect problem to have when you have a steady supply of water coming from back flushing our filter.

We constructed a 20' herb bed with a raised trough that distributes water to the entire bed.
